So it’s week 15.
I seem to have missed lots of blogs and I’ve totally confused myself. I’ve had a couple of disappointing weeks with gains and staying the same.
So I know I’ve lost 22lb overall so far.
So I’m averaging 1.53 a week which is a good sustainable weight loss. Weirdly its also exactly my target! 1.53 a week was set out at the very beginning. Seems a weird number but it was 40lb over 26 weeks.
The last 3 weeks I’ve seen a change in the consistency of my weight loss journey. I think this is because my days have got busier- I’m doing a bit more exercise (muscle gain) and I’m not planning my meals as well. I know I’ve definitely eaten more carbs and less veg plus my ‘treats’ have been totally naughty. I'm still fasting 3 days a week though and I know that I’m sticking to the calories but goes to show how what you eat makes a difference when dieting.
My blog is my own personal journey, not a blog promoting people to lose weight for their wedding. I gained 3 stone over the last 5 years and have wanted to lose weight pretty much the whole time so this was always going to be the year my determination kicked in. I’ve fluctuated a stone over the last couple of years but never persisted. I’m in the zone now and writing about it seems to help but that’s possibly because I don’t go to any groups. I’m doing an intermittent fasting diet. I have 3 fasting days, 2 really healthy days - chicken, fish, veg, salad, veg broths etc and I have 2 days where I just don’t think about it. It works for me, I feel great in myself and I now feel my end goal is more achievable.
Yesterday, although I was going to wait another month I tried my dress on. It goes on and 5 out of the 10 buttons done up. Considering that size wouldn’t go on to begin with I’m over the moon. I could’ve got a size up but I have a vision of how I look on my day and I will get there.
I discussed intermittent fasting with my GP prior to starting my diet because I was receiving treatment for my heart and I was ok to start. My BMI is now 24.4 so I’m in the healthy range - top end. The low end would mean another 2 1/2 stone loss but I’m not aiming to go that far. Mid range on the healthy scale would suit me so I’m going for another stone for the dress maybe 1 1/2 to hit my dream goal.
I also changed my weigh in day to Friday to enable me to change my days off the diet. Friday & Satyrday are now officially treat days which works better than Mondays.
I’m hoping for 2lb this week so fingers crossed.
