Events under canvas showcase

Hello Everyone

We've had a great weekend exhibiting at the Events Under Canvas showcase. Such a brilliant wedding vibe with loads of amazing suppliers.
Its been a lot of work getting ready our 8 tables and other bits and bobs and we are so proud of what we have created and have had some brilliant feedback.

This showcase was one we were really excited about as I (Lauren) have booked EUC for my own wedding in July. It was a great opportunity to have a run through and get some more ideas.
I succumbed to temptation and have ended up booking more things!

Talking of temptations Linda Hamilton from Gather & Feast Events was also exhibiting and as we have booked her it only seemed right to 'test' the produce, and what produce it is!!! - totally not helping the wedding dress diet!

We would like to give a special Thank You to Linda and CMA Hire for sorting out the crockery, cutlery and glassware we ordered for the set up - it's lovely and really made our tables stand out

There were a great bunch of people there and do keep an eye out for the next event  especially if you are thinking of having a blank canvas wedding like me.
What is a blank canvas wedding?
Well, it’s a blooming great idea 💡 for those who want a free reign and have a creative edge you can organise every single detail from scratch, making it truly unique. Of course you don’t have to physically do it all yourself, there are amazing people that can make it all happen but you are not limited with options is the beauty. The showcase was an ideal way of seeing what others can offer, from styling to catering to entertainment - they were all there to help & guide us. As a supplier as well as a bride to be we set up tables as we would for a wedding with Floristry & Stationery and got lots of lovely comments from couples about how great it was to see how it could look. I was particularly pleased to give our new arbour a go, it looked so pretty!

Tipi or not tipi that is the question?!
Having an marquee is nothing new, but choosing a special type for your setting is an option of a blank canvas wedding. We originally booked the tipis because I just fell in love with them. Living locally to EUC and having recommendations cemented the choice for us. Our wedding is in a field that was a fruit farm, in walking distance of our house and the tipis would look perfect 👌🏻 however as time went on they introduced the sailcloth tents and me being a photographer and a ‘lover of the light’ I was torn. I left it to Daniel to decide and he went with the sailcloth. It’s a rural elegance feel rather than a rural rustic one now but we love both options. I actually cannot wait for the day!
